My wife and daughter have given me instruction to take a look to see if there is a connection between a pregnancy stretch mark and cellulite. How to get rid of cellulite and stretch marks during pregnancy? Is that possible? Can stretch mark cream act as a cellulite cream and vice versa. It is a reasonable question to ask although scars and cellulite are not the same, they do have many similarities.

Stretch marks, like cellulite, are caused by damage to the dermis, the elastic middle levels that give skin its shape. In the case of stretch marks the damage is persistent in areas of your body that were particularly stressed by stretching for a long period of time like during pregnancy for example. If you think of an elastic band that is stretched over time, it loses its elasticity and then becomes weak. This is what happens with your connective tissue. Once parts of it become brittle, the newly ridged texture and lack of elasticity will become visible. These scars can appear everywhere. So to answer the question on how to get rid of cellulite and stretch marks, I would say it is best to nourish your skin from within as we have already touched on with water above. Other ways to nourish your skin from within include, almonds, avocados, broccoli, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, kiwi fruit, oats, oily fish, onions, soy milk, lentils, bean sprouts, wholegrain cereals, sweet potatoes, tomatoes and spinach. It is important that you consume a lot of water and a lot of vitamins.
