Laser Treatment For Stretch Marks

Is it possible to find a stretch marks cure? This an obsession with my wife and daughter, my job to research and see what I can find out e.g. what is the best treatment for stretch marks? This includes investigating skin care, stretch marks cream, treatment and therapy to prevent and remove stretch marks.

Stretch marks, look like scars on the surface of the skin. They start out red or purple in colour change to pink and then become white and sunken looking with age. If you were to examine a stretch mark under a microscope, you would notice that the distribution of elastin fibres and collagen in the dermis would look obviously changed from that of normal skin.

Treatment for stretch marks by using one specific type of laser, namely a pulsed dye laser, can significantly improve the appearance of stretch marks scars. This laser treatment is an especially good remedy for stretch marks, in the new stages, when they are red or purple.

The clinician performing this laser treatment for stretch marks will draw the laser over the stretch mark. Pulses of laser energy, which last less than one thousandth of a second, select the stretch mark without touching the surrounding skin. Most people are happy to have skin treatment without any type of anaesthetic creams being used.

This treatment for stretch marks is usually uncomfortable as apposed to being painful. On the other hand, if you have sensitive skin, you will be provided with an anaesthetic cream drug, which you can apply before treatment.

Did you know that most stretch marks materialize on a woman’s stomach when she is about six months into her pregnancy and continue to form as the pregnancy progresses? This is the time that her stomach is rapidly growing to make room for her growing baby. This is the time when the skin is stretched to its limit. You may also find that you get stretch marks on your thighs, upper arms, breast, lower back or buttocks. Stretch marks are inclined to be intense in the areas, which amass the most fat. These also are usually the areas that are stretched the most.

There are a number of stretch mark creams on the market, which fade out both the red and white type of stretch marks by evening out ridges as they strengthen and thicken the adjacent skin.
