Welcome to another stretch mark saga. This is to be all about stretch mark cream. I don’t know if you are aware but there are numerous products on the market. I know this because my wife and daughter, who buy the way is in her forth pregnancy, seem to have given me a full time job searching for information regarding their latest obsession for stretch marks.
When I am not doing this I like to be in my garden, greenhouse or away from it all on the golf course. This searching on the Internet does have its benefits as I can also look up interesting topics for myself as well. Did you know for instance that the work “golf” derived from German “kolbe” or Dutch “kolf” or from French “chole?” Golf must have been played in Scotland before 1457 because this was the year James 11 of Scotland made a ruling that “the futeball and golfe be utterly cryed down and be not used.” His reasoning behind this was that these games were taking away peoples interest from archery. That poor man really didn’t know what he was missing, did he?
I appear to have digressed once again, maybe it’s my age or more likely that I don’t really consider stretch marks a hobby as my wife and daughter do. However in my search to find a stretch mark cream, I see that cocoa butter is a popular choice. It is a rich emollient for the skin. It melts and dissolves into the skin at body temperature, leaving the skin supple and feeling soft. Cocoa butter may be used directly on the skin or added to a skin care product during manufacture. A stretch mark creams and products help prevent and reduce stretch marks. Some proprietary creams for stretch marks have added elastin, collagen and vitamin E.
Another product used in a great number of skin care products and to be found in a stretch mark cream is Shea butter. It helps in stretch mark removal by re-hydrating dry skin and promoting skin cells to grow. The daily use of a Shea butter stretch mark cream smoothes skin irritation, restores skin tone and gives your skin elasticity to help prevent stretch marks. Collagen, vitamin E and elastin are common in all creams for stretch marks. Aloe Vera and emu oil are also frequently added to preparations.
Well it’s time for me to go for lunch afterwards I want to find out more about the emu oil that goes into a stretch mark cream. Bon Appétit.
