I will save my humor or lack of it and get straight on to the topic, which is stretch marks removal. There are a great number of methods to prevent, remove and rid of stretch marks. These include skin care products in the form of oils or a cream, plastic surgery, laser surgery and a great deal can be done with from a nutritional viewpoint. With the correct nutrition, your overall health improves, as does the health of your skin.

If you are a pregnant woman you will know that stretch marks can develop during your pregnancy because of your skin being stretch to its limits and loosing its elasticity. You will probably also be aware that six months after the birth of the baby, stretch marks will more often than not, have faded and be less visible and you will probably consider that stretch marks removal is not necessary.

However, they distress some women who believe they are severe enough to seek a way to get rid of their stretch marks. A friend of mine once told me a little story, which I believe is relevant here and in some ways makes you wonder why women feel the need for stretch marks removal. You knew I wouldn’t be able to resist didn’t you. Here is his story.

“A few years ago I had a relationship with a women in her early forties, she wasn’t fat, a bit over weight I suppose. She was attractive and I quickly fell in love with her. When I discovered that she had a lot of stretch marks, and I mean a lot, I was surprised to find it didn’t make any difference to the way I felt about her. Unfortunately the relationship ended with many tears on both sides – it was very, very complicated!! A year or two later, I had another relationship with a women about the same age. She had an amazing body with not a stretch mark to be seen anywhere. But I didn’t feel the same way about her to the way I felt about the first one mentioned.”

I hope this reassures some women that we men are not the fickle creatures they believe us to be and that if we love someone it is despite their weight, wrinkles or stretch marks. Assuming that stretch mark removal is still your main concern your doctor may be able to prescribe you a stretch mark cream with Retin A. It is able to penetrate to the dermis and help renew skin cells by boosting collagen production. This skin care product should only be used after the pregnancy and not whilst nursing your baby. When using this stretch mark cream, you should stop taking any supplements of Vitamin A, as this can produce side effects. I will talk to you more about stretch mark removal in the second article on this subject. Speak to you soon.
