Good morning/afternoon or what ever time it is in your part of the world. Today I am going to talk about a remedy for stretch marks. My inspiration this morning comes from my green house. Some years ago, I found a discarded Aloe Vera, it had almost turned brown, and so I picked it up and re-potted it. My Aloe Vera has rewarded my for the first time this year with the most wonderful orange flowers.
Just in case you are wondering what this has to do with a remedy for stretch marks, I would say everything. When the Aloe Vera gel is removed from the center of the Aloe leaf, you will discover nature’s miraculous therapeutic gift. Aloe Vera gel makes an excellent skin care product to use during pregnancy and afterwards. Many commercial brands specifically made as a remedy for stretch marks contain Aloe Vera.
Stretch marks form because of the skin stretching beyond its limits over a period of time and insufficient collagen and elastin in the dermis. Aloe Vera stimulates the cells in the dermis to produce more collagen and rejuvenates the skin in this way it is also useful to prevent stretch marks.
My wife and daughter are very lucky, as they do not have to go and buy Aloe Vera gel as a remedy for stretch marks. My plant is extremely large and appreciates having a trim occasionally. A sharp knife is all that is required to remove the outer skin and the gel is then available to them. If you are considering laser surgery to remove stretch marks, Aloe Vera can be used to soothe the irritation, which you might experience afterwards.
As I mentioned earlier Aloe Vera is a great healer not only as a remedy for stretch marks but also useful to prevent wrinkles, as a moisturizer for dry skin, relieve inflammation and burns, treat bruises and reduce swelling. Additionally it protects the skin from the effects of smoke, dust, and sun. When you use Aloe Vera as a remedy for stretch marks, you will find you also keep your skin youthful and fresh looking.
Next time you are at the shopping mal, supermarket or garden center why not pick your self up a plant. Mine sits under the bench in my greenhouse and requires very little attention but a small plant will be perfectly happy on a windowsill. You will then be able to tell all your friends, I grow my own stretch mark remedy and my own remedy for dry skin. Best of all, your beautiful stretch mark free skin will be your testimony.
