Stretch Mark Cream

Are You Wondering About How To Prevent Stretch Marks?

This is the second part of tips on how to prevent stretch marks. The first concerned a couple of patents, which I encountered for maternity braces. However I could find no evidence of this particular brace actually in production, although there are others, perhaps it was adapted along the way, who knows? What I do know though is that my daughter and her “exercise during pregnancy” group were extremely interested in this patent that was filed in October 2000 and gave it great consideration in their discussions on how to prevent stretch marks.

Whilst trying to find out how to prevent stretch marks, I encountered another patent, which was filed in March 1997. This is a way to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy by diagonally taping a polyurethane sheet backed with adhesive over the stomach area for most of the pregnancy period. The theory behind this development seems to be preventing the stretch marks, which are caused because of skin tension. Once again if you know any more about this product and whether it was ever developed – let us know.

Putting all this aside lets look at what you can do in the here and now to prevent stretch marks so you won’t have to think about laser surgery for stretch marks later. Firstly it is important during your pregnancy to eat balanced healthy diet to keep your weight gain within the suggested range of twenty to twenty five pounds. First-rate nutrition is not only important to the developing baby but also is a factor in the health and strength of your largest organ in your body, the skin. Also a steady weight gain allows your skin to stretch at a steady rate, so it is less likely that stretch marks will form. If you massage the areas of existing stretch marks or areas where you wish to prevent stretch marks, this will increase circulation which can be beneficial.

During pregnancy, keep the skin substantially and effectively moisturized. Try out one of the many stretch mark or skin care products and keep to the instructions. These are specially formulated to prevent stretch marks and will help keep your skin elastic and supple. Most contain vitamins, which additionally act as a skin food and enhance the production of collagen and support the dermis. This protects the skin despite the vast stretching.

Check Out How To Prevent Stretch Marks

Hello, today I begin to talk to you about how to prevent stretch marks but first I need to close my door. Today we have the meeting of the clans in our lounge again; by this I mean my daughter and her friends, all in the early stages of pregnancy, who meet together once a week for their club “exercise during pregnancy.” You might have heard me previously mention that most exercise involves their tongue and lifting their teacups. There is always a great deal of talk about their pregnancy, skin, dry skin, skin care product, instructions for exercise, stretch marks during pregnancy and tips to remove, reduce and prevent stretch marks.

Well they have sure come up with a strange one today. Men of my senior will probably either remember wearing braces or at least their fathers wearing them to hold up trousers and even socks and I believe there was some sort of revival some years back but a maternity brace, what is that?

Well remembering that this article is pertaining to how to prevent stretch marks. A patent was submitted for a maternity brace to provide support for the stomach and vulval regions of a woman during her pregnancy. This brace has a middle vulval panel and a pair of rear and front straps attached to it. It is the stomach panel positioned between the two front straps, which hold up the stomach. The straps both rear and front are not linear to add support and comfort. It is assumed that wearing this type of maternity brace during pregnancy helps to prevent stretch marks.

I have not actually seen this brace in production anywhere and if you have perhaps you will be good enough to correct me. Not only is this brace designed to prevent stretch marks but also varicose veins, back pain hemorrhoids, reduced blood circulation, increased wear on hip and knee joint and overall fatigue.

Another patent applied for is an adjustable maternity brace including an elastic portion, which adjusts with the heat of the body, rigid support member. It also has a removable front panel connected to the ends of the elastic member. The front panel is adapted to lie against the abdominal portion so the woman can wear during pregnancy to help support the weight of the baby. There is no mention whether this is to prevent stretch marks or not. This sounds similar to the type on sale at the moment but once again I am more interested in the first version as are the “exercise during pregnancy” group so if you have any information contact us. Part two shortly.

Exercise Is Also Preventing Stretch Marks

Welcome to the second article for today on preventing stretch marks. If you found that I was not my usual chatty self earlier on, then I do apologize. All this talk of stretch marks by my wife and daughter was becoming, well, just a little too much and I was keen to give my legs a stretching on the golf course. This is my daughter’s fourth pregnancy and she is keen on preventing any further stretch marks developing in this pregnancy and would like to remove the stretch marks from her previous ones.

I am very patient with all this and spend a great deal of time researching on the Internet for my wife and daughter for tips to prevent stretch marks and products to help remove or reduce stretch marks. This morning however my wife and daughter dropped the bombshell, or that’s what it felt like to me, they would like me to research on exercise during pregnancy. AND maybe I would like to clear the large old shed out at the bottom of the garden, so my daughter can have some friends around, who are also in the early stages of pregnancy, for a small exercise club.

Me and my big mouth, I said they just as well go the full hog and use the lounge, I didn’t mean this seriously, but there you go, Wednesdays are to be a social get together, for light exercise, discussions on preventing stretch marks and whatever women in the early stages of pregnancy talk about. How silly of me, beauty tips, skin care, skin cream, the pregnancy and of course the baby, not forgetting all the baby stuff. Maybe they can start a knitting club next!!!

In the last article I gave you several choices for preventing stretch marks olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil and a choice of essential oils. Whichever you choose they all work extremely well to keep the skin supple.

I am feeling much better now, I have had an excellent game of golf and had a good moan at you, so now I think that I can put all thoughts of preventing stretch marks aside for the moment, as there is a wonderful smell coming from the kitchen and as it’s nearly time for our meal, I need to go and investigate. I believe I might have mentioned before that my wife is a wonderful cook. Talk to you soon.

To Prevent Stretch Marks You Got To Maintain A Good Skin

The best defense that any woman can have, if she hopes to prevent stretch marks is a healthy skin and it is here that good genetics help as well. This is because the forming of a stretch mark can be hereditary. This may be the problem in our household you see my wife had stretch marks after the birth of our daughter. Our daughter who is in her fourth pregnancy is concerned about the stretch marks she has and the ones she might get.

I myself would say the best defense is to be a man, well I know that men can also get stretch marks but it’s so rare to hear a man ask how he can remove stretch marks or maybe we wouldn’t want to talk about such things. I don’t know, but in this household, how to get rid of stretch marks and treatment for stretch marks is definitely for the women. The main concerns in my life, my garden, green house and keeping my golf clubs clean and taking them out for a nice long walk at least three times a week.

You are probably wondering how to maintain a good skin and prevent stretch marks. Firstly drink plenty of fluids as a well-hydrated skin stretches better. A balanced diet contains carbohydrates, proteins, fats, mineral salts and fiber. You may consider that you already eat a balanced diet but does your diet contain enough of the essential vitamins and minerals required by your skin?

As this is article is concerned with prevention of stretch marks, I will talk a little about the main vitamins and minerals which your skin needs. Vitamin C is needed to assist the body in repairing itself, for the production of collagen and is important to help heal scar tissue and wounds. Vitamin E is useful both inside and outside of the body. When taken as a supplement it is a powerful antioxidant for protecting and healing the skin. When a capsule is broken and the oil massage over the stomach area during pregnancy it is useful to prevent stretch marks. The best supplement to take in order to prevent stretch marks is zinc. This is because zinc assists in the production of collagen. Taking a light exercise during pregnancy improves circulation and benefits the skin.

At last I have found a supplement that I have something in common with. I am talking about silica. Silica is found in hair, skin and nails and taking a silica supplement is another way to prevent stretch marks because it keeps the skin moisturized healthy and strong. Why this interested me is because one of the vegetables I enjoy growing and eating the most is beetroot and it contains a lot of silica.

What Can You Do To Prevent Stretch Marks

Hello, welcome to part one of how to prevent stretch marks. Well according to my wife and daughter nobody wants to develop stretch marks. My daughter says pregnancy is bad enough. She and her friend run a club each week in our lounge called “exercise during pregnancy” I believe I have mentioned this before, they spend a great deal of time talking about all aspects of pregnancy and the awaited arrival of the baby.

Their topics are rife with words that begin differently like preventing, prevention, skin care product, removal, get rid of, and guess what they all finish the same with stretch marks. To be fair to them they also have a moan about all the negatives of pregnancy, the constant trips to the toilet, backache, nausea and tiredness. Then there’s dry skin, skin care products, baby clothes and of course how much weight they’ve gained.

So actually that’s quite a lot of words, far more than you will ever find on the golf course. We do use some funny terms though, like, lining up the third putt. All this really means is that you are having a bad hole. It just possible that I have wandered away from the subject of how to prevent stretch marks, I wonder why. Maybe I have ADD.

A good tip for prevention, (just in case I am confusing you, we are talking about stretch marks again), is to eat a well balanced nutritional diet and drink plenty of water. Water is crucial to healthy skin. If you think that drinking coffee, tea or other manufactured beverages and believe these are desirable substitutes for the natural water need of your body, then this is a terrible mistake.

Be aware that to prevent stretch marks, it must be water; it is true that these other drinks contain water but they also include a dehydrating agent, which dehydrate the water they are dissolved in, and additionally the reserves of your body. This causes your skin to be dehydrated and dry and adds to the risk of stretch marks forming during pregnancy.

My daughter and her friends have been experimenting with different stretch mark creams and skin care products containing cocoa butter and Vitamin E in an attempt to prevent stretch marks. There are plenty of creams containing these ingredients claiming to prevent, reduce and get rid of stretch marks. Always massage them well into the skin as this stimulates the circulation, speeding up the action of the cream. You might want to experiment and see what works for you. It always takes a few weeks for cream to take effect. I will let you know the results but I hear that Trilastin does the trick.

Preventing Pregnancy Stretch Marks Is The Solution

Hello once again. My daughter who is in her first trimester of her forth pregnancy lives three doors away from my wife and myself and she and my wife are constantly talking about pregnancy stretch marks and ways to make them disappear. Other words, which are bandied around our house on a regular basis, are maternity, past pregnancies, exercise during pregnancy, skin care, birth, baby and the strong favorite – How to prevent and get rid of stretch marks.

Do they mention a golf club or something that might be of interest to me, no chance but as I may have mentioned once or twice before, my wife is simply the best cook ever and meal times are the highlights of my day and when I can escape to the golf course. This makes all the talk of stretch marks bearable.

I am their unpaid researcher; in my own time I like a good game of golf or to be in the garden or my greenhouse. Tomatoes do not get stretch marks, though if they are given insufficient water, they do split. I guess that something tomatoes and the human race have in common, the need for a good deal of water, not over watered of course.

My daughter uses a cream everyday to try and prevent any future stretch marks developing but has several from her previous pregnancies and so is always on the look out for something to get rid of these. My wife also has some stretch marks she would like to get rid of. I don’t really understand why she makes such a big deal after all these years and yes I am always being told I don’t understand. Who said it’s a mans world. Is it just that us men don’t consider ourselves this vain and after all we don’t have to have the babies, do we. Pregnancy stretch marks, what does a mere man know about these. I think they are a bit insensitive to my feelings here. I do try to understand.

I do seem to have got carried away with self-pity throughout this article, for this I apologize. I don’t really feel sorry for myself and in fact have a good deal to be thankful for. I have a wonderful wife, a lovely daughter, three lively grandchildren, another on the way and stimulating talk regarding pregnancy stretch marks. What more could any man want from life?
