Does Vitamin E Get Rid Of Stretch Marks?

Hello. Today my beef stroganoff was interrupted with the question does vitamin E get rid of stretch marks? I have probably told you many times before how wonderful my wife’s cooking is and mealtimes are always such a great pleasure for me. However the topics of conversation of late seem to be rather bizarre. If you read my previous article you will know that my meal was interrupted with very similar question about emu oil. I guess the exact wording doesn’t matter, the gist of the question anyway was to do with emu oil.

Our life is being taken over by my wife and daughter’s search for skin products. They even bought me a second hand computer so I can research the subject for them. This gives me a good excuse to look up gardening tips and several other tips that I am interested in when no ones looking as well, perks of the job, so to speak. Well no quite a job, labor of love, comes to mind. Well Tocopherol ( to you and me is more known as Vitamin E) is incorporated into a good number of skin care products, so I see no reason why it would not be beneficial. I know she will ask me to do some research on this for her, so I volunteer first, especially as the promise of a large slice of blueberry bread pudding and probably a reprieve from drying the dishes, once again.

I guess it will not surprise you to know that my wife knows what she’s talking about once again. Firstly Tocopherol is useful as a supplement for skin and to prevent scars from occurring. A it can be used to make scars less visible as well and is not expensive to buy. Many of the specialist formulas, contain elastin, collagen and Tocopherol. If you massage your skin daily before applying any of these skin care products you will increase the flow of blood to that are and this accelerates the healing of the skin.

If you are interested in making your own home remedies, try the following: mix together one teaspoon each of rosehip oil, emu oil, castor oil, jojoba oil and don’t forget the oil we are discussing today (Tocopherol). It’s best to use a small jug and then you can pour the mixture into a small clean bottle. This mixture can then be rubbed into affected area daily. I was also wondering what are people using in other countries. I was especially curious about how people get rid of stretch marks in the UK. You can find out why in my next article.. You can find out why in my next article.

So as you see the answer to my wife’s question “does Vitamin E get rid of stretch marks?” is probably an affirmative.

Solution For Stretch Mark Removal

Hello once again. This is the second article on stretch marks removal. A quick recap on the first article for those of you who might not of seen it. I began by mentioning the methods to remove, prevent, and get rid of stretch marks.

I then related a friend of mines story, which demonstrates that a man does not judge a woman by her stretch marks alone; as a matter of fact they don’t interest him at all. In the story the relationship ended and it really makes you wonder whether this had anything to do with her insecurities about her stretch marks. BUT as I’m not a psychologist and was not a fly on the wall in that particular relationship, so I will leave it there. I concluded that article by taking a look at a stretch mark cream containing Retin A, which is a great remedy for stretch marks and is available on prescription from your health practitioner or doctor and talked of how to use and avoid side effects. This now only leaves me with the content for stretch mark removal for this particular article.

Stretch mark removal can be attained with laser surgery. This encourages collagen production but this is extremely expensive and you might prefer to consider microdermabrasion as an option. Treatment by microdermabrasion removes stretch marks by partially removing the top layer of skin so that the skin below tightens and smooths. Like when you sandpaper a piece of wood, well maybe the men out there might appreciate that analogy, personally I love to see a piece of wood perfectly sanded and finished off with the finest of sandpapers. Oh dear, did I digress yet again? Microdermabrasion stretch marks removal is not painful and requires no anesthetic. A qualified beautician can perform it at a health clinic.

There are many widely available oil or cream based preparations available in drug stores, pharmacies and over the Internet for stretch marks removal. Most of these skin care products contain a form of collagen to make the skin more elastic. Other ingredients can be vitamins A and E and cocoa extracts. Using these will improve skin health, counteract dry skin, keep the skin supple and if you massage daily while applying them will encourage circulation and ease skin tension.

I know I have stressed this in many previous articles but the most important thing that you can do to achieve skin health and prevent stretch marks is to drink at least eight glasses of water a day to keep the skin hydrated. You may then find that there is no need to worry about stretch mark removal.

Why Women Feel The Need For Stretch Marks Removal

I will save my humor or lack of it and get straight on to the topic, which is stretch marks removal. There are a great number of methods to prevent, remove and rid of stretch marks. These include skin care products in the form of oils or a cream, plastic surgery, laser surgery and a great deal can be done with from a nutritional viewpoint. With the correct nutrition, your overall health improves, as does the health of your skin.

If you are a pregnant woman you will know that stretch marks can develop during your pregnancy because of your skin being stretch to its limits and loosing its elasticity. You will probably also be aware that six months after the birth of the baby, stretch marks will more often than not, have faded and be less visible and you will probably consider that stretch marks removal is not necessary.

However, they distress some women who believe they are severe enough to seek a way to get rid of their stretch marks. A friend of mine once told me a little story, which I believe is relevant here and in some ways makes you wonder why women feel the need for stretch marks removal. You knew I wouldn’t be able to resist didn’t you. Here is his story.

“A few years ago I had a relationship with a women in her early forties, she wasn’t fat, a bit over weight I suppose. She was attractive and I quickly fell in love with her. When I discovered that she had a lot of stretch marks, and I mean a lot, I was surprised to find it didn’t make any difference to the way I felt about her. Unfortunately the relationship ended with many tears on both sides - it was very, very complicated!! A year or two later, I had another relationship with a women about the same age. She had an amazing body with not a stretch mark to be seen anywhere. But I didn’t feel the same way about her to the way I felt about the first one mentioned.”

I hope this reassures some women that we men are not the fickle creatures they believe us to be and that if we love someone it is despite their weight, wrinkles or stretch marks. Assuming that stretch mark removal is still your main concern your doctor may be able to prescribe you a stretch mark cream with Retin A. It is able to penetrate to the dermis and help renew skin cells by boosting collagen production. This skin care product should only be used after the pregnancy and not whilst nursing your baby. When using this stretch mark cream, you should stop taking any supplements of Vitamin A, as this can produce side effects. I will talk to you more about stretch mark removal in the second article on this subject. Speak to you soon.
